<p>PURPOSE:To recover the waste heat and to remove or reduce the necessity of stripping steam greatly, by utilizing the waste heat of hot ammonia liquor for heating an ammonia stripping column effectively. CONSTITUTION:The hot ammonia liquor 4, which is sprinkled over the dry main 3 for cooling the oven gas 2 from the coke oven 1, collected in the decanter 5, and returned to the dry main 3, is partly or wholly fed to the ammonia atripping column 8 operated under vacuum, to the wxcess ammonia liquor preheating heat exchanger 7 for heating the excess ammonia liquor 6, and to the reboiler 10 for heating the bottom recycle 9 of the column 8. The amount of heat can be obtained sufficiently from the excess ammonia liquor 6 for removing ammonia gas, etc., and the ammonia vapor 11 is taken out of the top of the column 8. The waste water 12 is discharged from the bottom.</p> |
