The support (1) is of an assymetric 'z' section with the short (9) and long (2) flanges subtending 90 deg. and approximately 60 deg. with the web (10). The long flange receives as gutter-support hook (4), and the web and the short flange act with a demountable counter plate (15) to clamp onto the roofing sheet. The long flange is vertical when fixed and has a vertical closed slot (3) for the fixing of the hook by bolt and wing but (8). The short flange has transverse closed slots (12, 13, 14) at intervals to located the tail of the counter plate. A bolt and wing nut (17) clamps the edge of the roof sheet (11) between the web and the plate.
