A method for manufg. riboflavine tetra butyrate by reacting riboflavine (Vitamin B2) with butyl chloride was described. Butyric acid was used as a solvent and reverse reaction inhibitor, and butyl chloride as a solvent. After adding a little excess pyridine, vitamin B2 and butyl chloride were heated at 70-95≦̸C, and reacted to give the title compd.
