<p>This invention relates to a communication system consisting of two transceivers as well as a transceiver for use in such a communication system. The transceiver includes, in combination with a single microwave oscillator, an FM receiver, antenna, and a microwave coupler for coupling energy from the oscillator to the antenna means for transmission and for simultaneously coupling energy received at the antenna and a small portion of the energy of the oscillator in mixed fashion to the input of the FM receiver. The frequency of the oscillator is controlled by a signal which includes the transmitter input modulation, and the transceiver also includes a cancellor, which is responsive to the output of the FM receiver and to transmitter input modulation, for cancelling similar modulation from the output of the FM receiver to thereby provide a receiver output signal.</p> |
