<p>The invention relates to inhalation devices which are intended for medicinal purposes. Aerosol inhalation devices which provide a large number of doses of a pharmacologically active substance are known, but have disadvantages in that they are open to abuse by frequent use, the devices are complicated and expensive but must be discarded when empty and the choice of suitable propellants is limited. The invention provides an inhalation device which discharges a pharmacologically active substance from an exchangeable unit dosage capsule. The invention also provides exchangeable unit dosage capsules containing a pharmacologically active substance and a pressurized propellant.</p> |
