BREAKING*RESETTING SYSTEM FOR EXCHANGE CIRCUIT

PURPOSE:To secure a quick restarting of the data exchange by resetting the data link control temporarily to the state before discontinuation to give an affirmative answer when a coincidence is obtained between the identifier under request for resetting of the data link and the identifier which is shunted to the reception terminal. CONSTITUTION:In the temporary discontinuation of the data exchange, each terminal makes the stage of the data link plus identifier ID of the remote terminal shunt at register 9 and then breaks the circuit between terminals. When the data exchange is reopened, data link control 3 gives an affirmative answer after resetting the state before the temporary discontinuation when a coincidence is obtained between identifier ID of the terminal included in the data link resetting request given from the communication terminal and the ID which is made to shunt to the terminal to receive the resetting request. Thus, the data exchange is started again. This method can omit almost of the connection initializing procedures at the restarting time of the data exchange, thus ensuring a quick restarting of the data exchange.
