PURPOSE:To regenerate a carrier by using only the carrier center part with a little distortion by removing distorted waveforms at the leading edge and trailing edge of the carrier (white signal or phase signal) due to the influence of a circuit. CONSTITUTION:The carrier regenerator consists of gate signal generation part A and carrier regeneration part B. The 1st waveform-shaping circuit 1 converts AM/ PM-modulated signal (a), sent from the transmission part, into a rectangular- wave signal, and counter 2 makes a check on the period of signal (b) outputted from circuit 1 to output signal (c) of a high level when signal (b) is a carrier. Then, AGC circuit 3 changes signal (a) into signal (d) of a constant-amplitude level, full-wave rectifier circuit 4 performs the full-wave rectification of signal (d) to obtain signal (e), and 2nd waveform-shaping circuit 5 changes signal (e) into level signal (f) which rises at integral time T1 and falls at discharge time T2. On receiving signals (c) and (f), AND gate 6 generates gate signal (h), and delay element 7 corrects the phase distortion of the circuit by receiving signal (d) and outputs signal (g) delayed by constant delay time T3 at the same time. |
