PURPOSE:To obtain excellent limiting accuracy and quick-respose dynamic characteristics by providing a means for limiting a torque split current and keeping the stator current within a specified limit. CONSTITUTION:In a current-objective-value generating portion 20, an excitation- split-current objective value iM is given by manual setting or a magnetic-flux regulator 201 which operates to keep the magnitude of a magnetic flux at ¦phi¦, and a split- current objective value ir is given by a speed regulator 202 which operates to match the actual-speed value n sensed by a speed sensor to a speed objective value. Square operators 203 and 204, an adder 205, and a square-root function generator 206 are proveded for limiting currents, and the magnitude of an objective vector in obtained. A regulator 207 for limiting currents is also provided, and the output value of the funcution generator 206 is compared with the predetermined maximum allowable limit at the input side of the regulator 207. In this constitution, excellent limiting accuracy and dynamic characteristics can be obtained. |
