<p>Relief patterns are moulded on the tread strip of a tyre during the vulcanisation of the tyre in a mould, the pressures produced by a vulcanising fluid being exercised inside the tyre in the mould, which has two sections disposed for pressing the sidewalls, and a number of sections disposed for pressing the tread strip. When the pressure of the vulcanising fluid acts inside the tyre, the forces produced by the forced elastic deformation of one or more mould sections are applied to the mould segments, these forces opposing radial movements of the segments, caused by the pressures exercised inside the tyre. Specif the forced elastic deformation is obtd by means of an interaction between several mould ports when the mould is in the closed posn. The forces are produced by the forced elastic deformation of an annular section surrounding the segments.</p> |
