<p>The compsns contain piperazine of formula- in which R is H, aralkyl, aryl or lower alkyl, R1, R2, R3 and R4 are independently H or lower alkyl, or R1 and R2 or R3 and R4 together may represent a lower alkylene radical which bridges the piperazine ring, and X is H2, benzylidene or (H,acyl) or one of the pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts. They are active against Herpes simplex and Vaccinia virus, and may be administered orally, parenterally or intranasally.</p> |
