PURPOSE:To increase the gain in a service area by making the greatest-diameter direction of the service area with the greatest diameter agree with the greatest- diameter direction of a beam with a beam width with the greatest diameter in the service area of the greatest diameter. CONSTITUTION:The greatest-diamter directon of a service area is equivalent to that of a segment connecting service areas T4 and T6, and main polarization direction D1 of horn H3 is so fixed that the greatest-diameter direction will agree with a polarization direction where beam width is the widest. As for the main polarization direction of a beam equivalent to another service area, main polarization of adjacent beams is inverted. Areas T4 and T6 are covered with the widest beam width, so that a decrease in gain can be lessened. |
