1. An information processing apparatus configured to determine a flick operation of a pointer, the information processing apparatus comprising a processor coupled to a memory, the processor being programmed to:
display an image on a predetermined screen; acquire position information of each of one or more touched positions periodically detected on a touch panel; acquire an amount of movement of the pointer during input of one stroke, based on the position information of a plurality of touched positions periodically detected from when the pointer touched the touch panel to before the pointer is released from the touch panel; acquire a movement speed as a speed of the pointer when the pointer is released from the touch panel, based on the position information of a plurality of touched positions periodically detected before the pointer is released from the touch panel; select a speed threshold from a plurality of speed thresholds based on the amount of movement of the pointer during the input of one stroke; determine that the flick operation of the pointer has occurred at the end of the movement in a case where the movement speed exceeds the speed threshold selected by the processor; and move the image displayed on the predetermined screen, in a case where it is determined that the flick operation has occurred based on the movement speed and the speed threshold selected by the processor, in a direction of the flick operation after the pointer is released from the touch panel. |
