PURPOSE:To improve running performance of heat-sensitive recording material, by adding alpha-alkylene oxide into heat-sensitive, color-forming layer containing leuco dye and acidic substance, and thereby preventing sticking of adhesive substance on the surface of thermal head. CONSTITUTION:alpha-Alkylene oxide (C) represented by formula II (wherein R is 12-40C straight-chain alkyl) is added to heat-sensitive, color-forming layer containing (A) colorless or light-colored leuco dye such as 3,3-bis(p-dimethylaminophenyl)phthalide represented by formula I (wherein RX, RY, and RZ are H, OH, halogen, alkyl or the like) and (B) organic acid such as oxalic acid or phenolic substance such as 3,5-xylenol, preferably in a ratio of 0.05-3pts.wt.-1pt.wt. of (A+B). |
