<p>Cardanol, formaldehyde, the polyethylene polyamine are reacted to produce polyaminophenol Mannich condensation products useful as curing agents for epoxy resins. The curing agents have the formula where R is a straight chain, unsubstituted aliphatic substituent having 15 carbon atoms and 0 to 3 carbon-carbon double bonds, -CH2NH(CH2CH2NH)XH is a polyamino substituent ortho or para to the hydroxyl substituent, x is an integer of 1 to 5, and n is an integer of 1 to 3.</p> |
