1. A method for treating a cancer and prolonging the overall survival of a subject suffering a cancer comprising:
providing a cancer cell sample of the subject, and determining the expression of (CHK-1) of the sample, wherein the attenuation of activated CHK-1 used as a biomarker; and administering the subject, if the attenuation of activated CHK-1 is found in the sample, with a combination of a topoisomerase II inhibitor (TOP2 inhibitor) and a Histone deacetylation inhibitor (HDACi) at the ratio to provide synergistic cancer cell-killing effects and prolonged overall survival. |
