PURPOSE:To improve the preservability of raw vermicelli, and to keep its high consistency for a long time, by coating the vermicelli with an oil. CONSTITUTION:Thin oil layer is applied to the surface of vermicelli such as wheat vermicelli to protect the vermicelli and to prevent the evaporation of water therefrom. The application of oil is carried out, e.g. by dipping the vermicelli instantaneously in hot edible oil such as vegetable oil, salad oil, etc. or by spraying a proper amount of the hot oil to the surface. |
