PURPOSE:To prevent the scattering of materials not melted in the forward direction in space, and to unify the retention time, by a method wherein the materials such as synthetic resin, etc. are kneaded while being zigzag fluidized in a kneading portion formed by mounting two kneading shafts in parallel into a casing for kneading. CONSTITUTION:Materials supplied from a charging port 2 are fed into a kneading portion B while being melted in a feed portion A, and kneaded. The materials to be melted are pushed in the circumferential direction of a chamber because rotors 4 in the kneading portion B are formed so that clearances with the inner circumferential surface of the chamber largely change along the circumferential direction in noncircular portions 44. Shearing action is simultaneously produced due to relative motion among the rotors and an inwall of the chamber, and kneading is promoted. Since the rotors have circular section portions 45 and concave portions 40 are made up to the outer circumferential portions, the materials spread in the outer circumferential direction and pass through the concave portions 40 when they reach the portions. Thus, the materials zigzag move in shapes that detour along the concave portions 40, and resin not melted, which flies in air, also stalls and melts into melted resin. |
