OPERATOR FOR SPATIAL QUERY AND ENERGY EFFICIENT QUERY PROCESSING IN WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORK DATABASE SYSTEM

Disclosed is an operator for a spatial query and an energy efficient query processing technique in a wireless sensor network database system. A query processing method in a wireless sensor network comprises the steps of: transmitting, by a base station belonging to the wireless sensor network, a query on the wireless sensor network; and collecting, by a sensor node having received the query, sensor data according to the performance of the query, wherein the query is a requirement for data collection expressed in a sensor network query language (SNQL), and a spatial operator for identifying a geometric target space for performing the query is defined.
