<p>An improved outlet assembly for a bounce crimping apparatus provides for close control over the back pressure exerted on the yarn exiting from the crimping chamber. The assembly includes a short, straight, easily cleanable 9 tubular outlet conduit and a restrictor assembly connected to the end thereof. The restrictor assembly includes a pair of eccentric bores and an internally mounted flat leaf spring. The leaf spring is secured within the restrictor assembly in such a way that its deflectable length and its inclination may be predetermined, and it is essentially tamper-free during use. Most desirably, extending beneath the leaf spring, a longitudinal slot may be provided through which a texturized multi-filament yarn of synthetic resinous material may be drawn in a reverse direction back into the restrictor assembly without entanglement and deformation of the flat leaf spring when the feed yarn is tangled.</p> |
