A method for hybrid-configuration dual-homing protection in a packet transport network comprises: comparing active-backup information of a multi-chassis pseudo wire (MC-PW) protection group on a network side on a homing node with active-backup information of a multi-chassis linear multiplex section protection MC-LMSP group or an active/backup multi-chassis link aggregation group MC-LAG on an access link side to determine consistency between the active-backup information, to obtain a comparison result; and performing management on dual-homing protection bridging or switching according to the comparison result.
