Arrangement for a driverless traction vehicle 1, primarily designed for so-called loop-controlled vehicles for transport of goods or the like within a location or a zone. According to the invention, there is at least one radar 7, 15, 16 placed at the front part of the vehicle 1, whose antenna is directed downward at such an angle to a plane 8 tangent to the lowermost periphery of the wheels 2, 3, 4 of the vehicle 1 that lobes 9, 17, 18 of an emitted radar signal strike said plane 8 within a limited region in front of the vehicle 1. This region constitutes a safety region within which the vehicle can be halted or substantially braked. The alignment of the radar means that its search region is clearly delimited so that people or objects outside of the safety zone do not give rise to a reading for the radar. According to a preferred embodiment, the radar consists of a Doppler radar. <IMAGE> |
