PURPOSE:To make the axes of series-combined pural belleville springs hard to deviate, and attain a proper aligned state, by making the outside and inside diameters of one of the plural facing belleville springs different from those of the other. CONSTITUTION:In application to the buffer mechanism of the control rod drive mechanism of a nuclear reactor, a plurality of belleville springs 2, 3,... are combined in series with each other and housed in an outer cylinder 1. An inner cylinder 4 is inserted into the belleville springs 2, 3,... so that the belleville springs are guided by the inner cylinder 4. An annular end plate 5 is secured on the tops of the outer cylinder 1 and the inner cylinder 4. A piston 6 is housed in the outer cylinder 1 in contact with the lowest belleville spring 3. The outside diameter D1 and inside diameter d1 of the belleville springs 2,... are made larger than those of the other belleville springs 3,... so that the peripheral edges of the belleville springs 3 are located in contact with the insides of the peripheral portions of the other belleville springs 2 and the inner circumferential edge of one belleville spring 2 is located in contact with the outside of the inner circumferential part of another belleville spring 3. These belleville springs are thus prevented from deviating. |
