PURPOSE:To make it possible to read a random part in an original by facsimile equipment, by inputting position information on the original by a carrier sheet with a scale and a means of inputting position information based upon the scale. CONSTITUTION:Carrier sheet 1 has original 2 set, the function key of the input device is used to assign the partial read mode, and then information on corner positions of assigned region 5 is inputted by numeric keys of the input device on the basis of a scale written on carrier sheet 1. Then, the control mechanism operates to control the pulse motor taking a subscan by driving carrier sheet and the optical system taking a main scan, thereby reading assigned region 5 of the original. Therefore, the assigned region can be read without a read assignment mark and frame in the original, so that the original will not damage. |
