PURPOSE:To obtain an oil containing no impurities readily in high yield, by purifying a waste oil and grease with an extracting apparatus having a plastic thin film and a distillation apparatus for removing an organic solvent from the extract and recovering the oil. CONSTITUTION:A waste oil in a storage tank 4 is sent to a mixing pressurizing tank 5 under pressure, mixed with an organic solvent and fed to an extracting apparatus 1. The oil content in the wast oil passing through a waste oil path 10 in the apparatus 1 is extracted with an organic solvent through micropores of a plastic thin film 9, and transferred to an organic solvent path 11. The extract thus obtained is separated by a fractional distillation apparatus 2 into the oil and roganic solvent. The regenerated oil is then fed to a storage tank 6, and the roganic solvent is fed through a condenser 7 and joined with the organic solvent from a storage tank 3 and fed to the extracting apparatus 1.
