<p>The road surfacing for aerial bridges includes plates (3) bearing on, and removably attached to, transverse support beams (1) each made up of metallic girders (1a) hinged end to end in alignment with one another. The plates (3) consist of a wooden frame (3a) reinforced by cross-beams (3b) and covered by a sheet of ply-wood (3c). The gaps between adjacent plates (3) are filled by strips of ply-wood and the free ends (6) of the transverse supports (1) may carry safety barriers (7). The surfacing can be used in a variety of different installations.</p> |
