PURPOSE:To offset distortion by optical fiber transmission and make possible long- distance image transmission with one optical fiber by transmitting a reconstructed image by means of an optical fiber of the same quality and same length as those of optical fiber for image light at the hologram forming. CONSTITUTION:One of the laser luminous flux divided in two by a beam splitter 103 transmits through an image 107, and goes through an optical fiber 108 of a square distribution of refractive index type. The other goes through an optical fiber 109 of single mode type in parallel with the fiber 108. These become image light and reference light, respectively, and the hologram image by interference is formed on a hologram recording material 111. The reconstructed image of this image is transmitted and fetched by the optical fiber 114 of the same quantity and same length as those of the optical fiber 108. By this constitution, the distortions generated by optical fiber transmission are offset and removed and the image transmission of relatively long distances may be performed by using one optical fiber. |
