PURPOSE:To manufacture the titled roll which can transfer continuously cast products to the process of rolling as they are at a high temperature, by providing a sleeve around the outer circumference of a roll shaft with water cooling pipe interposed, and then by bringing the roll shaft in close contact with the sleeve internal surface by increasing the diameter of the water cooling pipe with a highly pressurized fluid. CONSTITUTION:Water cooling pipe 12 is wound around the outer circumference of roll shaft 1 with cooling water hole 2 and after sleeve 4 is provided around roll shaft 1 over it, a high pressure pump is connected to water cooling pipe 12, which is applied with internal pressure to increase its diameter, bringing the wall of pipe 12 into close contact with the internal surface of sleeve 4 and a groove 3 wall. This, pipe 12 is fixed in groove 3 and the area of contact with sleeve 4 is increased. Since the internal surface of sleeve 4 can be cooled with cooling water passed through pipe 12, sleeve 4 can be prevented from being at a high temperature when continuously cast products are transferred to the process of rolling as they are at a high temperature and even when the expansion and contraction of sleeve 4 are escaped at the unfixed terminal, there is no probability that the water leaks. |
