摘要 PURPOSE:To diminish the area of an electrode and to raise thereby the efficiency of power generation by forming the electrode on a ray-receiving surface constituting the solar cell element, by providing a piercing hole through the ray-receiving surface correspondingly to the position of the electrode and by connecting a lead wire with the electrode through the hole. CONSTITUTION:On the ray-receiving surface 10 constituting the solar cell element are formed a center electrode 31 and a grid electrode 11 for collecting current provided toward the edge part of the surface 10. In such a constitution, the cross- sectional area of the center electrode 31 is usually enlarged gradually toward the end part of the ray-receiving surface corresponding to the amount of collected current. In this invention, the cross-sectional area is enlarged as usual up to the central part of the electrode 31, but beyond the part it is lessened gradually to expose the ray-receiving surface also in a part shown by slashes 32 so as to make the same contribute to power generation. In return therefor, the piercing hold 30 is provided through the ray-receiving surface, being positioned in the central part of the electrode 31, the lead wire 40 is inserted through the hold to be connected with the electrode 31, and this is connected in series with a back-side electrode 14 provided on another element.
