<p>PURPOSE:To absorb a large expansion/shrinkage between two feeders by installing a cylindrical connecting piece connected with a feeder or bridge side in such a way that this connecting piece slides on a conductor bar, in contact with its periphery, fixed and connected to a feeder on the land side. CONSTITUTION:A feeder 4 on the land side for trolley cable etc. is fixed to an end of a conductor bar 1 in the form of a hollow pipe installed suspending from a supporting mass 2 with the aid of insulators 3. To a cylindrical connecting piece 5, a rod 6 connected to a feeder for trolley cable etc. on the bridge side is connected through a universal joint 7 movable both vertically and in the direction to the right and left. This cylindrical connecting piece 5 is installed on the conductor bar 1 in such a way that the piece 5 can slide on the bar in contact with the periphery of bar 1. A flexible connection of two feeders can be thus obtained.</p> |
