PURPOSE:To reduce the psychological burden at the waiting time until desired program is incoming and to enable to display the character information for other programs instantly, by giving character and color memories to store the character information for many screen's share. CONSTITUTION:The TV signal including character signal input from an antenna 1 is selected at a tuner 2, and after the intermediate frequency amplification and video detection 3, it is input to a TV reception circuit 4 and a character reception circuit 8. The reception circuit 8 picks up the character signal and processes the control signal in this character signal through discrimination, allowing to pick up the character pattern data and color data and to store them in respective memories. Then, they are synthesized after readout to be output as signals of red, green and blue and to be given to a mixing circuit 5. The mixing circuit 5 superimposes the signal in red, green and blue on the TV video signal from the TV reception circuit 4 and displays the character information only on the CRT 6 in the form of single shape. Further, the signal from the operating button 9 provided separately with the channel selection button of TV is also input to the character reception circuit 8. |
