<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the liquid-crystal display element improving the multiplexing driving characteristics, by obtaining the orientation of low pre-tilt angle through the control of orientation of liquid crystal molecules by performing the 1st tilted vapor-deposition on the surface of electrode substrate and the 2nd tilted vapor- deposition form the opposite side. CONSTITUTION:On the glass substrate 2 forming the transparent electrode 1 of about 500Angstrom film thickness made of In2O3 patterned for the display of alphanumerics, for example, the 1st tilted vapor-deposition is made for SiO in 85 deg. vapor- depositing angle from the normal of substrate, to form the 1st thin film layer 3 of 300Angstrom film thickness. On it, the 2nd tilted vapor-deposition of SiO is made in 85 deg. vapor depositing angle from the opposite side of the 1st tilted vapor-depositing direction, to form the 2nd thin film layer 4 of 100Angstrom film thickness. The glass frit is superposed to the two glass substrates formed with two-layer thin film after screen print to produce 10mum cell gap by burning. In case of superposition, the glass substrates are arranged so that the 1st tilted vapor-depositing direction is 90 deg. each other, and then nematic liquid crystal 6 is injected to constitute the TN liquid-crystal display element.</p> |
