Ball type changeover valve - has cage in housing with drillings forming loose ball guides on valve rod

The changeover valve has a housing with inlet and outlet and containing a movable ball acting as the sealing plug. Inside the housing (1) is a cage with one or more drillings (4) at right angles to the centre line (3) forming loose guides for balls (5) on a movable valve rod (6) extending out of the housing. The drillings can be brought into line with smaller-diameter outlets in the wall of the housing interior (2). The cage can comprise a pipe T-piece (8) fixed to the valve rod and there can be two or more outlets (7a,7c) parallel to and one above the other in the housing wall, while the valve rod slides axially.
