<p>The smoke hood has a curved top (3) and either vertical or curved sides (4). It is of double-skinned construction with an inner packing of insulation. The hood is supported on lugs (12) fixed to the fireback, the lugs having two or more fulcrum points (10). Pivot pins (9) fixed to the hood rest in the fulcrums and the hood is maintained horizontal by the stops (14). The hood can be positioned on the different pivot points (10) to adjust the width (b) of the smoke outlet (13). If desired the hood can be fitted up into the vertical position or lifted out completely.</p> |
