PURPOSE:To correctly measure the quantity of a liquid such as urine, transfusion, etc. under shutoff condition from an external atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:A liquid such as urine, etc. flows into a liquid storage vessel 1 suspended on a hanger 5 provided on a load gauge 4 through the medium of a liquid transfusion pipe 2 and a joint tube 3. As the joint tube 3, a material having high elasticity compliance such as silicon rubber is used. The load gauge 4 contains a transducer which converts a displacement caused by a load of the liquid storage vessel 1 to an electric signal. The displacement caused by a load represents a sum of the weight of the storage vessel 1 itself and the weight of a liquid inside the storage vessel 1. Therefore, the weight of a liquid such as urine can be obtained by subtracting the weight of the storage vessel 1 measured at time of measurement commencement from the summed weight. |
