PURPOSE:To stop a counter for bank notes or the like effectively in a short time, by interposing a cross valve between the vacuum pump and the suction head and by operating the separator, which bank notes or the like are pressed into, and the cross valve simultaneously and by setting the vacuum switch to the nonoperation state rapidly. CONSTITUTION:When the number of turned-over bank notes or the like reaches a designated number, comparator 29 compares contents of count register 28 and set register 30 with each other, and the count end signal is transferred to solenoid 9 and cross valve 26. When solenoid 9 is excited, separator 10 is operated to press the residual bank notes or the like simultaneously. Meanwhile, cross valve 26 is set to the operation state to the close the inlet port 23 of vacuum pump 21, and external air is charged into suction pipe 24 to return suction head 5 to atmospheric pressure rapidly. consequently, the action turning over the residual bank notes or the like is weak to reduce the damage of them, and generation of the sound is reduced, and the counter for bank notes or the like is stopped in a short time. |
