PURPOSE:To inspect automatically crack, stain and flow of ring shaped bodies by counting the number of rectangular wave signal transmitted from the photographic signal of the camera scanning one-dimensionally at constant period on the ring shaped body transferred relatively. CONSTITUTION:The photographic signal of the camera 4 is deformed into rectangular wave signal by a wave form shaping circuit 6. When the ring shaped body is good in quality, the mode 1 of one rectangular wave signal is changed to the mode 2 of two signals and changed to the mode 1 again in accordance with the movement of the ring shaped body. The number of generation of mode 2 is equal to the scanning number. As the number of mode 2 is reduced when there are some defect in the ring shaped body, the number is counted at the mode 2 counting block 7. And when the number of rectangular wave signal is counted above three owing to the defects, the number is counted by the mode over detecting block 8. Then the body is rejected as bad quality. The changing pattern of the mode in accordance with the movement of the ring shaped body is detected by the mode pattern detecting block 9. |
