PURPOSE:To obtain a clear dichromatic image by adding one of a substance which colors in the complementary color to the color of a chromatic toner by adhesion to the toner in press-fixing and a substance initiating said coloring to an achromatic toner (black) and the other to the chromatic toner. CONSTITUTION:For example, a core substance prepared by dissolving carbon black or a black dye and a leuco body such as benzoylleucomethylene blue as a dye of green as the complementary color to red in chlorinated paraffin is coated with a urea resin prepolymer as a shell to obtain a microencapsulated toner which is used as an achromatic toner. On the other hand, a red toner is manufactured by melting a red dye or pigment, a solid acid such as silica, acid clay or ZnCl2 which allows the leuco body in the microencapsulated toner to color and a binder resin, mixing them and pulverizing the mixture. Using the toners a fine copy of a pure black tone is obtd. without making the black image reddish. In case of a toner of other color a pure black tone is obtd. by utilizing the complementary color relation in a similar way. |
