PURPOSE:To make it possible to conduct measurement with rapidity by soaking an electrode directly into a specimen solution, by using a ptron-conductive-and -electronic-conductive substance as a bulkhead and an electrode at the same time. CONSTITUTION:A manganese dioxide layer 7 is provided on a pourous glass substrate 6 by thermal decomposition, etc., and further, a lead is attached by using an electric conductive paint 8. On the aforementioned layer 7, a fixed layer 9 of glucose oxidase is formed by using a bridging reagent such as glutaraldehyde, etc. Thus prepared ensyme fixed bulkhead-and-electrode 12 is fixed on a holder 10 so that the enzyme-fixed surface becomes outside. In the holder 10, there are an oposite electrode 14, a reference electrode 15 of Ag-AgCl and an electrolyte 16. When thus composed electrode is soaked into a specimen solution containing glucose and the bulkhead-and-electrode is set to a potential of 0.5V with respect to the reference electrode, normal current value is obtained in approximately 10 seconds, and rectilinear characteristics is shown when glucose density is in a range of 10<-5>- 10<-2>M. |
