摘要 PURPOSE:To permit the stability of a working machine in a rotary tool-polishing center for physically handicapped persons to be checked and controlled by previously storing the repolishing accuracy of a rotary cutting tool in order to grasp the working conditions of the tool to be repolished again according to the stored values. CONSTITUTION:The cutting-edge number and the height and eccentricity of each share point of a rotary cutting tool to be polished are measured in an automatic measuring unit 7, and inputted to a computer 20 in a control unit 8 to obtain the maximum machining quantity and the like. According to the operation results, a polishing unit 6 is controlled, and according to the cutting-edge number, an index head unit 5 is controlled so that the cutting edges of the rotary cutting tool 4 attached to an indexing spindle 13 are indexed and positioned facing to the polishing unit 6 to polish the cutting edges. After the machining is finished, the automatic measuring unit 7 measures the cutting edge surface of the tool 4 like before the polishing to check the repolishing accuracy, which is stored in the computer 20. When the tool 4 is repolished again, the stored values are compared with the measured values of the tool 4 obtained before the polishing to check the working conditions of the tool and the quality of the machine.
