METHOD OF MAKING ARTICLES WITH ANNULAR CORRUGATIONS

Articles with annular corrugations are made by means of rotative spinning of a sheet metal workpiece with opposingly directed pressing and supporting actions. The workpiece is shaped as a shell of revolution with constantly widening bell opening and is fixed at the geometrical vertex area of the bell mouth and the annular corrugations are then formed consecutively from the smaller diameter to the bigger one, a concentrated impressing force being applied to the internal surface and along the axis of the workpiece.
