LID FOR A DRINK BOTTLE A drink bottle (10) with a removable lid (14) includes an inner lid (20) attached to the mouth of the bottle and an outer lid (24) or cover pivotably mounted on said inner lid (14). A drink opening (56) or spout extends from the inner lid (20). The outer lid (24) or cover may be locked into a closed position covering the drink spout (56). A push button release (22) is activated to unlock the outer lid (24) and permit the outer lid (24) to pivot to a position exposing the drink spout (56) for access by a user. The outer lid (24) may be snapped of the inner lid (14) by moving the outer lid (24) beyond an open position. A bail handle (28) on the outer lid (24) is retained in a stowed position in a recess in the outer lid (24) or is moved to a deployed position. The bail handle (28) disconnects from the outer lid (24) when moved beyond the deployed position. The push (22) button for releasing the closed outer lid is enclosed within a tunnel (64) in the inner lid (14). |
