PURPOSE:To connect devices, which differ in the volume of information, to a common transmission line without lowering transmission efficiency, by providing a specific transmission unit and reception unit to each data station connected to the loop transmission line. CONSTITUTION:In a loop transmission line 25, a synchronizing station 24 is provided which generates the 1st and 2nd frames with prescribed addresses and circulates them throughout the transmission line 25 once. Data stations 17-23 connected to the loop transmission line 25 in series are each provided with a transmission unit which inserts data corresponding to the address into the 1st frame and sends them to the transmission line 25, and a reception unit which receives the data of the 2nd frame when specified by its address. Consequently, devices, such as program controllers 9-11 for control over a processor 2 and sensor bases 14-16, differing in the volume of information are connected to the common transmission line without lowering transmission efficiency. |
