PURPOSE:To decrease the number of physical interface lines extending to an input and output monitoring device, by providing an information switching device between input and output circuit terminal parts and the input and output monitoring device. CONSTITUTION:On receiving data from an input and output terminal part IOA11 or input and output terminal part IOB12, a reception control data insertion part 31 or 32 inserts a shift-in or shift-out control character before input data. Received data is led to a competition circuit part 33 and priority is given to either one of the IOA11 and IOB12, which has sent the data earlier, to open the gate of the priority side, thereby sending the data to an input and output monitoring part 2. If no received data arrives within a prescribed time, the competition circuit is reset and monitoring is continued until the following received data is inputted. |
