PURPOSE:To reduce the communication time by making MODEM training under the specified conditions. CONSTITUTION:A fascimile transmission device making transmission/reception of compressed data consists of a transmitter consisting of an original reader 10, read-in data compression section 14, and modulation section 16 having a plurality of transmission speeds to transmit the compressed data, and a receiver consisting of a demodulator 36, decoder 34 for demodulated data, recorder 32 for decoded data, and error detection section for received data. When the transmitter and receiver are connected in lower speed than the maximum transmission speed of the both, the MODEM training is restored automatically every transmission of the specified original. Then, the possibility of switcing set in high speed on the way of communication is made, allowing to reduce the communication time. |
