PURPOSE:To obtain a taper spring of light weight by constructing a taper part of a main plate and a rail longitudinally projected and approximating the ratio of a distance (e) from a neutral axis to a tension side face of a main leaf and a thickness (t), that is e/t, to 1/2 toward the end part longitudinally. CONSTITUTION:A main body 1 is constructed of a main leaf 2 and a rail 3 in one body, and provided with a base part 4 of equal thickness at the central part in the longitudinal direction, a spring eye part 5 on the end part, and a taper part 6 between the base part 4 and the spring eye part 5. The rail 3 is projected longitudinally on the compression side of the main leaf 2. It is provided with a trapezoidal section which is constant repsectively in its vertical angle (alpha) and the width (b) of a bottom part combined with the main leaf 2, and shaped in the taper part 6 to decrease its thickness (t') toward the spring eye part 5. Meanwhile, a ratio e/t based upon a distance (e) from a neutral axis and to the face of a tension side plate is increased to approximate to 1/2 toward the longitudinal end part. |
