The agent treating surface chemically for preventing zinc plated steel sheet or steel strip from gathering white-rust is composed of CrO3(10-30g/l), Na6PbO18(1-10g/l), silica gel(1-15g/l), H3PO4(0.10-18g/l) and maleic acid anhydride(1-5g/l). Because this agent increases activity of Cr during the chemical surface treatment of zinc plated articles, the film of Cr becomes thicker. This thick film of Cr plays a part of anti-rust.
