PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of a gas laser tube by providing a cathode discharge induction hole for introducing a discharge to the cathode space in a fine laser tube secured with a plane reflecting mirror at one end and securing the fine tube with an intermediate glass tube for isolating the cathode space and the anode space. CONSTITUTION:A fine laser tube 16 secured with a plane reflecting mirror 6 at one end is disposed at the center of a vacuum enclosure 23 for containing a cylindrical cold cathode 20 (21 represents a lead wire and 22 represents an external lead electrode), a cathode discharge induction hole 14 for introducing a discharge to the cathode space 13 is provided in the tube 16, and the tube 16 is secured fixedly with a middle glass tube 18. Thus, the cathode space 13 is isolated from the anode space 17, and a sealing tray 24 having a concave reflecting mirror 4 is mounted at one end of the enclosure 23. In this manner, it can facilitate a vacuum exhaust treatment and the centering processing of the mirror 4 with the tube 16 to rationalize the steps of production, thereby reducing the cost. |
