NEW MATERIAL:A stilbene derivative of formulaI(X1, X2 are H, halogen; A is straight-chain or branched-chain alkylene; R1 is alkyl, cycloalkyl; R2 is H, alkyl) and its pharmaceutically permissible salts. EXAMPLE:Methyl 4-(1-methyl-2-phenylvinyl)phenylacetate. USE:Anti-inflammatory, analgesic or antipyretic, which is used as remedy for arthritis, rheumatism and neuralgia. PREPARATION: The reaction between a compound of formula II and another compound of formula III (X3 is halogen) in the presence of a strong base is, when necessary, followed by hydrolysis of the product and conversion to its salt to produce the compound of formulaIor its pharmaceutically permissible salt. |
