The spacer separates two members e.g. chair legs (5a,5b) and fixes them at a certain angle w.r.t. one another. It comprises two shells (1a,1b) of which the abutting frontal faces incorporate annular bearing surfaces. The shells can rotate relative to one another about a central common axis (3), their frontal faces incorporating elements for preventing their relative rotation. The respective bearing faces have complementary projections and cavities at regular intervals on their peripheries so the shells (1a,1b) can be locked together with their angular relationship adjustable in small increments. The complementary formations may comprise radial 'V' section tongue and grooving with rib heights of between 0.1 and 0.2 of rib length.
|
