Dry transfer device with signs or patterns - protected by thin pref. rosin ester strip around edge and covered with adhesive layer

A dry transfer device comprises a temporary sheet support signs or patterns to be transferred deposited on the sheet support and an adhesive layer covering the signs or patterns. The improvement is that in thin strip of holding material is deposited on the sheet support along and adjacent the edge of the signs or patterns. Alternatively the strip is applied inside and outside the edge of the signs or patterns. The strip of holding material prevents rapid ageing of the transfer material, prevents inadvertent peeling off of the signs and protects them from air and moisture.
